I'd like to introduce you my review of Vein Cat's "Demo Sessions".
At first I decided to release this work speedily. But having no success with terms, I've wanted to time it for Halloween.
All explanations are unwanted; Today I dedicate this review as a gift for birthday to my father.
As to readers, I'd like you to enjoy

Part I: Story

When Vein Cat didn't exist yet and 90's just started, Daniel Wrotniewski been doing the first steps of his creative way. He was studying singing and learning to write music; lad been also getting skills in verbal arts and sound recording. Upon the whole, those days Daniel played music with his homies so he was gaining invaluable life experience.
When he became more mature and when he possibly got the view of his future more clear, Daniel left all bands in which had participated - he retired from rock music in which been involved before. Range of his creative activity expanded over time - especially in sphere of public performances.
In many ways, Daniel found himself disposed towards electronic music; and he started to play it live on his peculiar shows. So, in one of those days Daniel Wrotniewski became a Vein Cat. For a while Vein Cat still played in clubs in native Poland, but in some moment felt his way been not in it - and so he moved to London.

Acquired skills were proven useful and they helped Vein Cat to join London's music community. Starting to play in local clubs he released several singles and took part in some European music compilations. He took an opportunity and began to tour over the Europe.

Part II: Review

Music material recorded in 2006-2009 years was given the name "Demo Sessions". 15 tracks were placed for free access on the Internet and it was a good move to obtain audience attention.

Vein Cat belongs to breath and traditions on European electro/electroclash scenes, but sound and performing of his music are different to these. It claims to originality.
Talking about distinctive features, emphasis on melody is striking primarily. Enjoyable and memorable tunes captivate quickly - at once; and melody remains playing in your head. This property is inherent to all "Demo Sessions" but if to call an examples I say "All in", "Who cares about tomorrow", "Fireworks".
While lots of colleagues on scene either don't apply vocals during performances or they use samples and recorded voices, Vein Cat sings himself. His lyrics is also deserve an attention - it's curious that verses with suchlike semantic load don't usually fit so rhythmic and such a dance music. Vein Cat makes it fit and the effect comes out strong - "Fucked Up", "Mary Jane" & "Fireworks" as an example.
One of the most remarkable features of this music is an creative impact which is still rather rare for electroclash - it is influence of post-punk and gothic scene in general. Perhaps this tendency owes its existence to the musical tastes of Daniel Wrotniewski. Sounds of his music not only leaves the trail of romantism or brings listener to melancholy. Some tracks exploit techniques specific to EBM, synthpop and dark electro - examples like "Implanted In You" and "Fucked Up" are breaking boundaries quite resourcefully.
Atmosphere and mood of tracks "When She Moves", "A toy", "Not In Your Taste", "Stains" and some other, lead the listener into coldwave, bringing with them alienation and bleakness.

Vein Cat's "Demo Sessions" - trace of his three-year creative activity is divided into five parts. In my opinion overall quality of the material is at a high level. Every single track was recorded with admirable dedication and without a compromise on an empty sound.
"Demo Sessions" - an excellent example of how music finds a response in the listener's perception through an artist's talent and sincere process of creating art.

Вот и моё ревью - представляю рецензию на Demo Sessions от Vein Cat. Раз события сложились не иначе и статья не вышла даже по-Самайну к Хеллоуину, то хочется посвятить её моему отцу. Сегодня третье ноября, ночь, и пусть мой труд станет подарком на его вчерашний День Рождения.

Часть I: История

Когда Vein Cat ещё не существовал, а 90-ые только начинались, Daniel Wrotniewski будучи подростком делал первые шаги своего творческого пути. Он занимался вокалом, приобщался писать музыку, набивал руку в художественной словестности и постигал основы звукозаписи, - в целом же Daniel музицировал с приятелями, приобретая бесценный жизненный опыт.
Повзрослев и возможно яснее увидев своё будущее, Daniel оставляет коллективы в которых участвовал и, являясь вовлечённым в рок-музыку, отходит от неё. Диапазон его творческой деятельности расширяется, особенно в плане публичных перформансов. Во многом же он находит себя в электронной музыке, исполнять которую берётся вживую. В один из этих дней Daniel Wrotniewski и становится Vein Cat. Какое-то время он ещё выступает в клубах родной Польши, но не в них чувствуя свой путь уезжает в Лондон.
Знания и навыки помогают ему; имеющийся опыт оказывается очень полезным.
Освоившись, Vein Cat активно выступает в клубах Лондона, гастролирует по Европе. Кроме того выпускает несколько синглов, принимает участие в европейских музыкальных компиляциях.

Часть II: Обзор

Материал записанный с 2006-ого по 2009-ый годы Vein Cat объединил вместе и обозначил как "Demo Sessions". Записи были размещены в свободном доступе в сети, что стало хорошим ходом для пробуждения интереса аудитории.

Музыка Vein Cat началом своим принадлежит европейским традициям, веяниям и манерам в электроклэше и электро, но при знакомстве оказывается немало различной упомянутым сценам, претендуя пожалуй на оригинальность.
Анализируя отличительные черты, в первую очередь можно сказать о ставках сделанных на мелодичность. Приятные и запоминающие мелодии подкупают как нельзя быстро - сразу; а музыка остаётся играть в голове. Это свойство в общем характерно для всех композиций "Demo Sessions", но если приводить примеры, ими станут "All in", "Who cares about tomorrow", "Fireworks".
В то время как многие его коллеги либо совсем не используют вокал во время выступлений, либо применяют сэмплы и студийно записанные партии, Vein Cat поёт вживую. Заслуживают внимания также тексты - любопытно что такую смысловую нагрузку лирики не часто вяжут с такой ритмичной и настолько танцевальной музыкой. Эффект получается сильным, - в пример "Fucked Up", "Mary Jane" и вновь "Fireworks".
Одной из самых ярких черт этой музыки становится ощущение инфлюенса, пока достаточно редкого для электроклэша - чувствуется влияние пост-панка и готической сцены в целом. Возможно эта склонность своим существованием обязана музыкальным вкусам Daniel'а Wrotniewski. Звуки его музыки не только оставляют шлейф романтичности или могут наполнить слушателя меланхолией - ряд треков (например "Implanted In You" и "Fucked Up") эксплуатируют приёмы характерные для ebm и synthpop'a, являя намёк на dark electro: порой и вовсе становясь исступлёнными, но без присущей тяжести в звуке и желчи.
Атмосфера и настроение композиций "When She Moves", "А toy", "Not In Your Taste", "Stains" и некоторых других уводят слушателя в coldwave, принося с собой оторванность и мрачность.

"Demo Sessions" Vein Cat'a - след его трёхлетнего творчества, разделён на пять частей; по моему мнению общее качество материала на высоком уровне, а каждый отдельный трек записан с завидной самоотдачей и без компромисса на пустое звучание.
"Demo Sessions" - отличный пример того, как музыка, включая в себя честный процесс создания искусства и самоотверженность, может найти отклик в восприятии слушателей.
